About Secondary.
Secondary is a weekly newsletter about being a culturally fluent, professionally sharp person navigating modern life. It covers culture, business, brand and marketing, food, design, and current events through the lens of someone who finds McKinsey killing the billable hour and which Brooklyn bar is worth the walk equally worth your attention.
If you work in marketing, tech, or media — or just want to be the one in your friend group who already knows that a trad wife is really just a content strategist in a nap dress — you’re in the right place.
Secondary is free, fueled only by your views, hearts, and shares. Subscribe below.
What’s inside every issue.
The monologue. An opening essay that explores a facet of modern life, from why so many Forbes 30 Under 30 recipients become criminals to the party favor I’m seeing at every brand activation.
Party Talk. Quick-hit news across business, marketing, culture, food, and design. Things worth knowing, things worth bringing up at dinner, and sometimes both at once.
About the editor.
Kristine Colosimo is VP of Brand and Marketing at an AI company called Kinter.ai. She spent nearly eight years building Silicon Valley Unicorn, Workato, from pre-seed to a $5.7B valuation, then left to work on placemaking, curation, and economic development in the venture world at Newlab. She has spoken at SXSW and C2 Montreal, and was named one of the Top Women Leaders of New York in 2024.
Being a good marketer is about understanding people, their motivations, and how what’s going on in the world affects that. That’s why this is not another newsletter about marketing tactics.
You can find her on Instagram and LinkedIn.
